Offset Printing
Offset printing is the standard process for producing high volume printing. Offset printing still remains king for commercial and specialty printing, including catalogs, brochures, and specialty packaging.
With UV printing technology, inks are dried and cured by passing an ultraviolet light source inside the press. Sheets arrive in the delivery stacker immediately ready for the next operation, which results in a more efficient workflow and can often improve turnaround times.
Thanks to its instant drying process, UV printing can accommodate a wide variety of materials typically less suited to conventional inks. Materials produced with UV Printing are more durable and fade-resistant, so it is a good application for high touch or display items, like posters and menus.
Advantages of UV Offset Presses:
- More vibrant colors since it immediately dries hard on the surface of the substrate.
- No dry time leads to increased speed and efficiency in printing orders.
- UV inks release no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the environment.
- Can print a broader range of substrates such as synthetic papers and plastics.

Digital Printing
Digital printing on Premier Print Group’s Nexfinity Digital Press is ideal for smaller quantities, print-on-demand, and variable data projects. This press produces excellent quality which is comparable to offset, making it hard to tell the difference.
The Nexfinity prints 4/4 on a wide variety of coated, uncoated and textured papers and synthetics. The largest sheet size is 14 x 26.
Short Runs
- Digital printing is perfect for economical short runs because there are no plates involved, as there are for offset printing. After checking the digital files, they are sent directly to the press.
Print-on-Demand (POD)
- Print-on-Demand projects usually require fewer pieces, like up to a couple hundred copies of single sheets or a booklet. An example of a POD project might be an insurance agency making a small presentation for group policies. They would print only enough customized booklets for the number of attendees at the meeting. Another reason for POD is that data is likely to change and a buyer doesn’t want to be burdened with obsolete materials.
Variable Data Printing
- Add a recipient’s name once or a few times to a postcard or self-mailer and you have added a personal touch. The message is now seen as a one-to-one communication. Your direct mail campaign has just seen dramatic increases in response rates. Versioning allows you to segment your list by unique groups and tailor copy, graphics and photos to each group. With Variable Data Printing at Premier, your options for personalizing messages are almost endless!
