I have worked for 35 years in the printing industry starting my career as a CSR. I later became a production manager, a sales manager and a general manager. I owned Custom Color Graphics for 8 years until it became part of Premier Print Group in 2008.

One of the things I like most about Premier is that there is a lot of flexibility, with most of us having autonomy to do our own thing. It’s also great that quality of our products is never an issue.

My personal philosophy toward servicing customers is pretty simple: Clients essentially pay our wages and are the reason we’re in business. It is imperative that we make their life easier, more effortless. And we must always be easy to do business with. In addition to my love of printing, I own Cook N Kettle, the world’s only maker of cast iron barbecue grills and smokers. This was the first kettle grill, having started in 1947.

Among other activities, I have been the president of a local teacher’s union, a school board member, a second grade Sunday school teacher, and a founding board member of Main Street Association in Pontiac, Illinois. I have BS and MS degrees in education from Eastern Illinois University.

My wife Carolyn and I have been married for 39 years and live in Champaign, Illinois with our two Weimaraners. We enjoy spending time at our home in Florida. I enjoy watching the St. Louis Cardinals and am a Florida State Seminoles fan.

Carolyn and I have also been blessed with two sons. Chris owns Luna’s Italian Deli and Wine Shop in Tallahassee, Florida. Mark is studying landscape architecture at the University of Illinois and works in the mailing department at Premier.
